There can be no light without darkness
Darkness lives within us all
Sometimes the darkness needs you to shine the light on it
So you can see it more clearly
Now that it has light
I see it
I see me
And we can dance together under the moon until I’ve heard its story
And with its story, I learn what to do to heal its wounds and right the wrongs
Now I see it
Now I see me
And in the end, I heal this piece of myself
I love this piece of myself
Forgive this piece of myself
From this place
I see me
In my truth
With my darkness fully illuminated
Ready to begin
For I am not a victim of my circumstances
I am the creator of my life
Are your shadows king of your life?
Shadow Joker Creature Story
Darkness has a form. The shadow joker. A trickster. Meant to enthrall and enchant with their laughter and jokes. While you look upon them, you do not see the damage being done to you, for you are caught up in their delightful spell of fun, illusion, and misdirection.
Spinning and spinning, around and around. You are caught. Trapped in the liminal space. Uncertain how to escape. You can hear the laughter in the distance, enticing you to follow. To walk the path of the Joker. To be the joke. Laughed at. Ridiculed. Pointed at and judged.
There is choice here. This liminal space. You can walk towards being the joke or become playful and see the fun in your life.
The shadow shows you where you are caught up in the darkness. Caught up in the story you’ve created around yourself. Where you are holding onto personalities that no longer serve your highest self.
The path is before you. The creature smiles wide; come to play, have you? Yes, but not as the joke, as the creator of my fun. As the truth-teller and seeker of wonder. As the challenger of the conventional things.
That is the light brought into the darkness. Seeking yourself and knowing yourself so well that outside ridicule doesn’t stop you from marching forward on your path.
Are you the joker in your life, wearing the crown of chaos? Made to believe you are a fool? Cast in your own shadow? Or are you willing to step into your light and live in the unconventional, connected with your sacred self?
